Does anyone use or heard of this filter system? (pump with bottle)

I found it in a TED Talks video with a demonstration in the middle.

The little bit of spacs make it seem very impressive;
1. "Membrane with a filter size of 15 nanometers to remove all waterborne pathogens"
15 naometers = 0.015 microns which blows other filters out of the water.(100 to 1000 nanometers or 0.1 - 1 microns)
2. A 4000-6000 Liter filter life
3. Very little imformation on the way the filter works other than he made the prototype in his garage(??).
Using a non-chemical nano-filtration hollow fiber membrane with 15 nanometer pores (it is designed to block viruses), the Lifesaver bottle can make the most revolting swamp water drinkable in seconds. Better still, a single long-lasting filter can clean 6,000 liters of water.

Here is a review:

Complained of a plastic taste that did not go away.
I am happy with my MSR miniworks but always curious.
I am aware some do not filter and just drink.
