I am not much of an insole kind of guy. My feet don't have many issues. However, I have suffered from planter fasciatitis due to poorly supported dress shoes. During that time I placed inserts into my old Merrill boots and I must admit that they helped extend the life of the boots.
Now I have new trail shoes and am wondering how others use green feet? Do you wear new shoes for so many miles and then switch to inserts? If so, about how many miles?
If you put them in right away, do you always replace when you get new shoes or do the insoles last for more miles than the shoes? If so, any idea of how many miles?
I would love to hear from thru hikers that have used them on the trail. I know trail shoes last about 500 miles so wondering the life of Super feet insoles.
Looking for help planning shoe expense for 2018 attempt. However this will also help my fall and winter training. Thanks!
