Planning to hike half of the AT in the Shenandoah National Park section (starting at Rockfish gap and heading north). In another forum someone mentioned that even reliable sources were scarce (this info was passed on to me - I did not read it myself), but according to the nps.gov site the water sources listed sound viable enough.

Should we cache water or is that not needed in this section? The most recent post here regarding this same topic was a month ago. Has anyone recently hiked it?
