Yup, I'm one of those cyber hikers. Oh this dancing banana looks too good to not use
OK, you talked me into it.Originally Posted by smokymtnsteve

Yup, I'm out on a hike this weekend too! And then five out of the next seven weeks - YEAH! Can't wait to get off this puter.

Just finished hiking the GA section of the AT. Never thought I might turn in to a cyber hiker. Had a great time out there ! Planning to get back on the NC/TN section in a month or two. Thanks for keeping me focussed.
I've hiked more miles by accident than you'll ever hike on purpose. Get your ass back out there.
it got hot Lone Wolf and I don't hike when it's hot.

What are these blue blazes? I keep seeing them referenced throughout this website, but can't figure if they're alternative paths or 'this way to water', etc. I've been cyber hiking this website all day, this is a real nice website, chock full of good information and great pictures. And a 501(3)(c) website at that!
A-Train is jealous. Blue-blazing is tons of fun and has nothing to do with " looking for the quickest easiest way to shave off miles". Most blue-blazes are more scenic than the white ones. Obviously A-Train has never taken one.

You've done 1 white-blazed thru-hike. I assume. What would you know about blue-blazed trails?
I don't know nothin about no blue blazed trails, but i'll let you know maybe after I take the Pico/Sherburne pass down to the Inn at LT next week. I'm scared though, it might ruin my perfectly peachy puristy pursuit of the LT. If I have a meltdown, i'll know who to call for support

Attaboy!
Howdy all,
I wish I could be going on a hiking trip this weekend. Instead I will be going down to mom's place. A couple hundred miles from Springer. My mother and I are going to be working on my trip planning, and sewing up a bunch of clothing for my adventure.
Y'all have a nice weekend. Don't forget the reason for the holiday. It is Memorial day after all. Not an excuse for a three, or in my case five, day weekend. Take care.
