    Kanga,

You are making the mistake of using common sense and facts.

Sorry, LW, didn't mean to take your comment out of context. I misread your point.

    Not 100%.
Yeah. And none of those bad things would have happened if the husband hadn't gone for his gun.

I've noticed that it's quite common for him to ignore counter factuals; another favorite tactic is to create a straw man. It's amusing if looked at in the proper light.

I'll make post #380. What is this post about? Someone getting attacked on the At or Gun rights? Be nice if one posting would stay on topic.

interesting.most break ins are done by unarmed bandits, as they understand the difference between burglary and armed robbery.I dont understand the argument we're having here. If you've been properly trained and feel safer, by all means carry. But to pull the trigger acurrately in a life or death situation AT A LIVE PERSON, is a lot different than the practice range.and to go to sleep every night with a gun under my pillow, I dont think I would get a whole lot of sleep.I feel if evveryone felt the need to arm themselves on the AT, Id be a lot more worried about some yo-yo shooting at some percieved threat in the shadowes than I would an armed bandit waitng to beat me and steal my gear.
    Now what was the question?

Wrong bears. I'm talking about the ones that have a taste for hiker food bags and tents.

Your post was number 290. You need to get busy if you want to make it to 380. And yes, this whole thread seems to be based on feelings without regard to common sense, facts and logic.

Kanga: tell us what you said and the context in which you said it, and if i've misspoken I'll admit it. I don't read every message in every thread. I don't remember every message I've read in every thread.

But I don't deliberately lie. I've been banned from several threads dealing with controversial subjects from time to time, so I may not have been able to even see everything you post.
