What size are the Pots made out of Heineken cans??
What size are the Pots made out of Heineken cans??
I prefer a 24oz fosters can because it fits in one of these.
Not as tough as a Heineken can though.
The countrytime lemonade container is crush proof.
Heineken Keg cans come in both 12 and 24 ounces. Obviously if you want to do 2 cups of water you need a 24 ounce can but some guys use the 12.

i am packing both the 12
oops. i am packing both the 12 and the 24. i have bottoms cut off of other cans to make tops and i think that makes them more durable. put the 12 in the 24 along with my stove, wind screen and lighter. nice neat package.
The fun part is drinking, I mean draining the contents.

i literally just took a sharp knife from the kitchen drawer and put the edge just under the lip of the top and applied pressure while dragging the knife across...like many MANY things i do i could have lost a finger, it took some working and patience but it came off as planned

with a can opener the trick is not to use full pressure. Make sure to press teh cutting wheel to desired location of cut and apply light pressure and go around and around until you break thru.
I got a farberware can opener from publix.
Big black plastic handle and geared. Cost about $6. You have to bend the tab on the bottom out a good bit, then just go around the can with gentle pressure a few times and the top will come off.
I think there is a can opener from walmart that will work, but I never found it.
The only electric can opener I have used is a side cutter, but that leaves a sharp edge.
Yep Wally World has the rim can opener, around $9.00 though. Cuts a perfect top leaving you the actual top for a lid. Well worth the $9.00 if you plan on making a few.
I'm looking for one or two new 24oz Heineken mini keg can. If anyone can help me I would be willing to pay for them.
Do they still make them? I was unable to find one on my search.
They changed the can for us here in the US, so the only ones you'll find are old stock or people holding on to them.
I was at BevMo today and they had the typical wide 24oz Fosters, but the only H' Kegs they had were 12oz; the 24oz were "regularly" shaped and advertise the new can design.

There's a guy over on the Hammock Forum selling them. I think he had a couple left as of today.
I went by Walmart last night and the Farberware side cutter doesn't work on the Fosters can. Perhaps it was the wrong cutter...?
