There are no copyrights in this case to worry about that I kow of.

What was all the fuss about when the database first came out in oct. 2005?

I can not remmber the exact detail of the fuss back then. I think it was just people trolling in the thread trying to stur things up, but the database has changed dramatically since then. I think if there would be any copyright to worry about we would be the ones going after someone else, rather then the other way around.
