Fresh/Dry Equivalencies

This shows how much fresh food it takes to make one ounce of dehydrated/freeze-dried food -- so not exactly the same thing but it should give you a pretty good idea.

My experience (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59549) was that a five pound chub of 83% lean hamburger dried to 16 Oz of gravel
