I'm willing to bet (I don't know anything about this subject) that if medical people still use "super-glue" for closing wounds that there are special procedures and wounds that it must be used on and other types that it can't be used on. Furthermore, (still guessing) I would think that this "super-glue" is manufactured differently, i.e. to meet certain medical standards for the issue biological safety. Not saiying that infection is imminent with normal store-bought superglue, but certainly much more of a chance.
